The matches it makes are horrible. Honestly speaking, for the majority of players in Platinum or higher, this basically gives you very little information you couldn't already find out. If you were regularly getting High-bracket games or better, you could have guessed beforehand you were going to be Platinum. Anyone in High or Very High could have figured out roughly where they stood already. The "solution" to this is to have a team of 5 that you can queue with all the time. Unfortunately I don't usually have many people online when I play and personally I think the way steam's community works is terrible for a game like Dota 2.

We need buddy lists and buddy messaging and a chat server, not this individual PM box for every person you message. Or these numbers can fluctuate alot. You see you have higher rating on a account that played alot but have a lower win rate.

With a perfect ELO it should be the other way around. Then then launch game, open console and type these commands. It seems if you picked something else you start lower. Each player is assigned a number to represent their skill level and players are matched to people with similar MMRs. You can see other people's level by right-clicking on their name and looking at their Dota profile. I mean the "bracket" or "priority" in which you are in. There was a work around posted in reddit before. The best way to currently check your difficulty bracket: Run Dota2 and open watch tab Select Recent games Press Filter button Write your nickname Select skill level low, mid or high This way you can see which of your recent games have been in low, mid or high skill bracket.

    I don't think it's a very good idea, since Dota2 can't correctly guess match skill levels. Checking first few pages with very high skill level resulted in short 25min at most boring matches.
